2. Pino : Pino is one the lightest twitter client for Linux. Pino is a Linux twitter client written in Vala and designed to be simple and fast. It only shows your timeline and mentions but it’s still in the beta stage (currently beta 3).

3. TweetDeck : This is probably one of the most widely used twitter clients for Linux currently in the market. It is not a one of twitter client but also enable managing of accounts such as facebook, myspace and linkedin. So it is more of a all in one desktop social client than being just a twitter client.

4. gtwitter : It is one of the simpler of the rest of the mentioned clients. It is a simple GTK+ based application for Linux, designed to interact with Twitter web service. Someof the features of it are :

5. Echofon ( formerly Twitterfox )

TwitterFox is a Firefox Extension that displays updates from your friends and lets you update your status. This extension adds a tiny icon on the status bar that notifies you when your friends update their tweets. Also it has a small text input field to update your tweets.
